Professor Takahiro Ohashi of the Mechanical Engineering Course, School of Science and Engineering, Kokushikan University, has been selected for the Die and Mould Technology Promotion Foundation’s FY2026 (Reiwa 8) Research and Development Grant.

The Structured Admissible Velocity Field (SAVF) is a novel mathematical framework for material deformation analysis in metal forming processes developed by Professor Ohashi. This research aims to develop a new technology for supporting forging preform and die design based on the SAVF methodology. The project seeks to enhance the sophistication and efficiency of design processes in metal forming and is expected to contribute to the advancement of forging die design technology.
